Clinton-Obama ticket an "almost unstoppable force."

Last Friday in Mississippi, stumping for the Magnolia State's Tuesday primary, Sen. Clinton told voters, "You've got to make a choice. A lot of people wish they didn't have to. A lot of people say 'I wish I could vote for both of you.' Well that might be possible some day. But first I need your help on Tuesday."
This weekend on the trail, Bill Clinton went further, calling a Clinton-Obama ticket an "almost unstoppable force."

"I know that she has always been open to it," the former president said, "Because she believes that if you can unite the energy and the new people that he's brought in and the people in these vast swaths of small town and rural America that she's carried overwhelmingly, if you had those two things together she thinks it'd be hard to beat."
Citing their demographic strengths, Clinton said of Sen. Obama and his wife, "he would win the urban areas and the upscale voters, and she wins the traditional rural areas that we lost when President Reagan was president."
As Al Gore joked on Saturday Night Live years ago, picking a vice president can be like an episode of "The Bachelor."
"I respect all of you. And I wish I could have three running mates, but it's just not constitutionally viable," Gore said, holding up a single long-stemmed rose in a skit where he selected Joe Lieberman over John Kerry and John Edwards. "I've made my decision."
But Obama and his allies feel this is more like an undesired arranged marriage, and a shotgun one at that.

Why should Obama accept what Clinton is saying about having a dream team? Don't you see what Hillary is doing, trying to say vote for me and Obama will be my VP. Well, Obama is leading in the race, Obama won more States, got more delegates, just winning period. So for Clinton to say Obama will be her VP and we can make a dream team is wrong. Clinton big Ego have to be knocked down back to earth. She is trying to gain more votes by telling voters, if you vote for me then Obama will be my VP. She got no right to say it when she is not even leading in the Democratic race

Obama's Speech

Here's something to keep in mind when Obama makes his speech today. He has put words into Rev. Wright's mouth that Wright never said. I’ve read the sermon and no where can I find the passages in it as stated by Obama in his book. How odd. Obama wants us to believe that in 20 years he hasn't heard what the Rev. has been saying and he also wants us to believe that he HAS heard what the Rev. HASN'T said. Now does this make Obama a liar or are we to chalk up this fabrication ?

Florida Democrats re-do proposel

The primary will be organized at a Florida Democratic Primary Headquarters (HQ) office in Central Florida. The 50 REOs will handle local outreach and educational activity, with specific consideration given to disadvantaged communities.



Vote-by-mail (VBM) packets will be mailed to all registered Democratic voters at least two weeks prior to Election Day (likely earlier). This will be handled by a firm experienced in special elections conducted by mail. VBM packets will contain a prepaid, addressed return envelope and one ballot. The instructions will be simple and clearly printed on the ballot and envelope. All ballots and instructions will be printed in English, Spanish and Creole to comply with Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. The plan can be submitted to the Justice Department for approval under Section 5.

Although VBM packets will not be forwarded, when a ballot is returned as undeliverable, a notification card will be sent to the voter’s forwarding address offering the voter the opportunity to correct their registration record and receive a new VBM packet in time for the election. The undeliverable ballots also will be recorded and stored until 21 days after the voting deadline.

If a voter does not receive a ballot or whose ballot has been damaged/lost, he or she may contact HQ or an REO to request a replacement. A voter may cast an in-person provisional ballot at a regional office if their voting eligibility cannot be confirmed.
REOs will be open every day for the two weeks leading up to the voting deadline for informational purposes, distribution of replacement ballots, in-person voting, and collection of completed ballots. REOs will have a locked ballot box and will be staffed, but votes will only be counted at HQ. Every evening, the day’s ballot box will be picked up from the REOs and transported to HQ. All ballots must be received by 7:00 PM on Election Day to count.
Anyone who thinks Florida can pull this off is fooling themselves. They can't even get their regular elections right. And it's no comfort that this is their "best option." How do you verify? And what happens when a load of ballots from the African American community are found in a garbage dumpster the day after the primary count?

The best Republicans we have to represent the US on foreign policy are being ostracized because the cut 'n run surrender socialist Democrats demonize them, like John Bolton for one. I wish Sen. McCain and other Republican leaders would take note, especially considering how Gen. Petraeus was treated before he went to Iraq and then afterwards when he came back to testify before Congress successful but assaulted by the likes of Hillary because they wanted failure.

Conservatives: Sitting Out The Election Is the Height of Idiocy

I know that there are those conservative that arn't fond of John McCain, and that they disagree with him on a wide variety of issues, and they feel insulted by McCain's ardent desire to please those across the political aisle.
Yes, there's plenty to question about John McCain, but there's one thing conservatives can't question: McCain is better than Hillary Clinton. He's better than Barack Obama. And it ain't close baby.
Conservatives must recognize that the choice in 2008 is between John McCain and Clinton or Obama. It isn't about McCain vs. Thopmson, McCain vs. Romney or McCain vs. Huckabee anymore. Don't wake up on that morning and see Hillary Clinton dumb ass smile in the Oval Office.
Conservatives are fools if they stay home in November. Fools big time.

Give em that old Razzle Dazzle. Watch him try to Worm and Squirm

In the Ohio debate earlier this week when he was asked if he accepted the support of Louis Farrakhan. Obama looked like a Deer in the headlights.
Obama could have answered the question directly, starting with the simple word, “No,” making clear he refused the support of an anti-Semitic demagogue like Farrakhan, but instead, even after repeated followup questions, he never said he rejected that hatemonger’s support. Guess he feared such forthrightness might cost him a vote or two.
It was not until Hillary pressed the issue and the moderator flatly asked him to, did he reject the support of Louis Farrakhan. That he came out and did so. Up until thwn, there was a lot of side stepping going on. A common technique for a politician? Sure it was. But this was an issue where it should have been cut and dry!
Lets just hope the Republicans will be able to stop him.

Now Hillary Clinton Plays the Victim Card, the Only One left in the Deck

That was her theme at the Democratic debate with Barack Obama in Cleveland Tuesday night.
She complained that she always got the first question. What was that all about? She complained that she wasn’t getting enough time to discuss health care (a discussion that had gone on for 16 minutes, which is several lifetimes in terms of a televised debate).
And, then, demonstrating how presidential campaigns can repeat their mistakes rather than learn from them, she said: “If anybody saw ‘Saturday Night Live,’ maybe we should ask Barack if he’s comfortable and needs another pillow.”
she came across as whine and snarky...not very presidential...not at all!
And now she's TOO BUSY to release her tax returns? Excuse me if it sounds a bit like she's hiding something. What else is new?
