Third (3rd) Party Candidates
Or "The Kooks are coming"
Some thoughts on 3rd Party Choices Bob Barr (former Republican) announced he would be joining a widening field of Libertarian candidates for President. Ralph Nader among others is running an Independent campaign. And Cynthia McKinney is the most well known name of a short list of Green Candidates. As did Alan Keys, and a hand full of others. None of them have a prayer of winning (despite their hokey rhetoric to the contrary), so what’s up with that?
I don't propose to provide a comprehensive nor in depth analysis of all the candidates of all the Independent and Third Party races. That may come later as the fields are winnowed down. It is important at this time however, for folks like me supporting in general the Independent movement or one of the 3rd Party platforms, to get acquainted with who the likely players are, and ask that all important question, Why should I care?
Bob Barr is trying to resurrect the far right wing base i think he would have better luck trying to resurrect Jesus, he thinks he will be a spoiler like Ross Perot. I really doubt that he gains any steam Ralph Nader is a nut that's not even woth the paper I'm printing on .
As for Cynthia McKinney, need I even say anything?

My Take On The Trials At Guantanamo And The Election
DD2, over at "Our World As We See It" did a fine blog on this subject today.
http://ourworldasweseeit.blogspot.com/
He calls it "The Trials At Guantanamo And The Election"
I’d like to say a few words on the subject myself.
Barack Obama wants to negotiate with the terrorists. You can not negotiate with terrorists, extremists, radicals, or fanatics. I spent over 20 years in the Military and I think I know the score pretty damn well. . These terrorists do not play by the rules not by any rules. There are no rules of engagement for them. What happended at Abu Ghraib was nothing more than embarassment...there was no torture. Waterboarding is an evil necessity that must be done in order to save lives. And saving lives is what we do. Stop being such panty-waisted pansies and wake up to the world of reality. This is war, not a Sunday picnic. Our military is doing the best they can, considering the politicians tie their hands. Give them a break and support them in their endeavors.
Don't go out on the streets and embarass them. In case you don't know it, that's exactly what you do when you protest.
We do not torture because we wanted to inflict pain. In contrast, they killed because they want us to suffer. No, we do not become terrorists if we torture the terrorist to extract info to protect ourselves. Is the info reliable? Maybe, maybe not. But we can always verify. The CIA is not stupid. After 911, a lot of government agencies got blamed for not doing enough to protect our country. Well, when the memory faded, the liberal left is now saying that the government and CIA are doing too much in the name of protecting the country. Can there really be such a thing as TOO MUCH? For those who argued that they will torture us if we do the same to them, well, I say that whatever we do, torture or not, doesn’t have any effect on what they will do.
To try to reason with them and expect that they think the same way as we do is naïve beyond believe. This is not a moral issue. We are dealing with evil people here, very evil.

America's New Jackie O! ~ Michelle Obama.
Yes, Michelle Obama, the wife of the presumptive Democratic contender for the White House, has come under fire for being allegedly unpatriotic, pushy, even racist. Thyra Lees-Smith of Los Angeles said in an entry on Obama's Facebook page that she was "the picture of graciousness, style and extraordinary intelligence" on The View.
"The picture of graciousness, style and extraordinary intelligence"
Maybe on the Miss Piggie show she is!
If anyone is elegant and gracious., it's Cindy McCain, not Miss Piggie "I was never proud of America "Obama!
Lately all the pictures I see of Michelle O she is deressed up exactly as Jackie O. Hussein also poses as John Kennedy. The problem is, the color has changed although the pearls are the same. So in the end the anti-American Michelle is not a credible Kennedy image. Perhaps they think the American people are stupid.
I don't remember Jackie O being a racist. I would say that she's more like Cynthia McKinney

Obamanomics
Having finally stumbled across the finish line and secured the Democratic nomination Barack Obama hit the road this week with an economic tour to convince voters he is not a traditional tax and spend liberal. This will be tough because he likes tax increases and spending the tax payers’ money and is very liberal. The McCain team, anticipating Obama’s offensive, kicked off the week with this statement: “While hardworking families are hurting and employers are vulnerable, Barack Obama has promised higher income taxes, Social Security taxes, capital gains taxes... etc...etc.
And still the Obamanomics go Ape over him.
Obama himself demonstrated his complete lack of understanding of economics with MOST EVERYTHING he has said, proposed, voted on, etc.! He even admitted himself that he does NOT understand economics. I heard the words roll out of his mouth! So, how then can he try to even claim that he can fix the country especially considering how MUCH he loves to tax and spend!

I FOR ONE, MUST SAY "NO" TO HILLARY For Vice president
She’s finally gone nuts. She’s the first presidential candidate we know of, who actually threatens another country with obliteration in a major nuclear American attack! In an interview in “Good Morning America” Hillary is openly threatening Iran with a nuclear attack, should Iran ever attack Israel.
Apart from the very nature of this outrageous statement where nuclear attacks suddenly is a part of our foreign policy - does this nutty candidate really think the American people would support the killing of millions of poor Iranians in a nuclear war, risking an escalation to a major nuclear war involving Russia and China, gambling with American lives and our entire future as a nation - because of an attack on Israel?
Whatever sympathy we might have had for Hillary is now entirely gone. If that’s the way she is handling a crisis with a foreign country, America doesn’t need her “services”. If she wants to seem “tough” she should get a job on a Texan ranch instead of using her verbal skills to yet again make America look like hillbillies and bullies in the International community.
